Execution over theory
Plans exist to be delivered. The measure of success is what reaches production and operation, not the elegance of the deck.
UP Management is led by Uwe Placzek — a senior technology and product delivery leader with an engineering background, a corporate and entrepreneurial track record, and more than 20 years of hands-on delivery experience.
UP Management exists to give organisations direct access to experienced delivery leadership — without the overhead of a large consultancy or the abstraction of advice that never reaches implementation.
Uwe Placzek combines an engineering foundation with two decades of building, leading and delivering digital products and platforms. The work spans healthcare, public sector, retail, media, publishing, telecoms and industrial domains — and ranges from regulated enterprise programmes to founder-led ventures.
That breadth matters because complex initiatives rarely fail for one reason. They stall where technology, commercial reality and senior stakeholders meet. UP Management is built around exactly that intersection: technically literate enough to engage with engineering, commercially experienced enough to protect the business case, and senior enough to hold the room.
The approach is deliberately pragmatic. The priority is execution — a working product, a delivered programme, a venture that reaches the market — not frameworks for their own sake. Engagements are taken on selectively, and led personally, so clients get the experience they were promised rather than a delegated team.
Uwe is currently engaged as Strategic Lead at Diligram — an AI and healthcare-governance SaaS used across the NHS — and as Product Lead at ScanSoles, an Industry 4.0 SaaS venture, while selectively taking on further senior consulting and interim mandates through UP Management.

Senior leadership that engages with the detail — teams, vendors, backlog and risk — rather than observing from a distance.
Comfortable with C-level stakeholders, boards, investors and regulators — and candid when assumptions need challenging.
A Dipl.-Ing. / MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Cum Laude, TU Chemnitz) underpins a structured, evidence-led way of approaching ambiguous problems — and the credibility to engage with technical teams.
Senior project, programme and product roles inside major organisations — Siemens, ProSiebenSat.1, Handelsblatt Media Group, dm-drogerie markt and others.
Co-founder of Acetrax, Europe’s first direct-to-TV streaming service, later acquired by Sky — and the commercial instinct that building a venture leaves behind.
The best way to assess fit is a direct conversation. Share the situation in a few lines and we can take it from there.
